An ADD Woman with Lacy Estelle
Welcome to An ADD Woman podcast with host Lacy Estelle, writer of all things about ADD parenting and an ADD mother on Mothering the Storm with Lacy Estelle at www.LacyEstelle.com. Here on An ADD Woman podcast, we're going to switch it up and talk about all things to do with ADD as an adult woman and how we deal with it. Now maybe you’re thinking, “Women don't really have ADD, do they?” Actually, we do. We've all just been doing such a great job of masking it for years! So, let's dive in and talk about everything that ADD touches in our lives. And when I say everything, I mean, everything! When you have ADD, there is not one thing it doesn't affect. I'm so glad you're here. And if nothing else, I hope that you take away from this, that you are not alone, you are not lazy, you are not stupid and you are definitely NOT crazy. You just have ADD and you're just like me.

Isn't Everyone A Little ADHD? (Season 2, Ep. 6)
Is ADHD just a fad or a trendy topic? Should everyone be considered "a little ADHD" based on occasional experiences of ADHD-like behaviors? There's a very real misconception that everyone exhibits ADHD symptoms to some degree. It's important to recognize the prevalence and interference of ADHD symptoms in an individual's life, distinguishing between occasional occurrences and the consistent impact of ADHD on one's behavior and daily functioning.
In this episode, Lacy addresses the misconception that everyone is a little ADHD and clarifies the difference between occasional forgetfulness and the prevalence of ADHD symptoms that significantly interfere with daily life. She also shares statistics on ADHD prevalence, the challenges faced by women with ADHD, and how it can be important to seek a diagnosis for validation, understanding, and potential lifestyle changes.
